Ras El Maa Waterfall

Ras El Maa is a beautiful waterfall beyond the gate of the magical blue Chefchaouen Medina. It’s regarded as an authentic source of town and at the same time one of Chefchaouen attractions. From here, the water comes fizzing out of the mountain shaping a handful of small cascades, where local women come to do the washing and hang them out to dry. Beautifully perched on the top and surrounding Ras El Maa spring, there are many buildings that brings a certain charm to this place. However these buildings cover the source of its natural self, but still so much hard to believe that such a spring can produce so much waters as Ras el-Maa River would first pass along Chefchaouen city before eventually emptying into the the Mediterranean Sea.The sound of the water and the mesmerizing hills beyond the Medina provide a strong sudden dose of nature.

 

What most stands out about this waterfalling is that it’s a suitable place to relax and chill out after spending your time wandering in the blue Medina of Chefchaouen. And what makes it a notable Chefchaouen attraction is that this area is consisted of couple of short walkways edging both sides of the stream. A bridge adjoins the car park to Make it easier for visitors and allow them to get back and forth across the waterway, while at the same chilling out in one of the lovely shops or cafes nearby.
